The near-perfect growing season in 2006 ended with light rain in September, followed by a classic Oregon Indian Summer – a long string of warm days and cool nights. This vintage displays a gorgeous black cherry nose with hints of earthiness and spice. The wine greets you with fine dark fruit flavors including black cherry and currants. The velvety mouthfeel transitions into a beautiful finish with strong hints of anise. This vintage displays amazing complexity and structure that go well beyond earlier vintages from this estate vineyard block. The wine is well balanced and we feel the split harvest of 2006 fully contributed to the elegance of this vintage. The 2006 Estate 777 Block Pinot Noir will age beautifully and should reach its optimum in five to six years. Decant before serving.
