A Special Place

ArborBrook is located within the Chehalem Mountains AVA and borders the Ribbon Ridge AVA. The vineyard is at an elevation of approximately 400 feet and is blessed with primarily rich Dupee sedimentary soils. Exposure varies, but is primarily southeastern and eastern in orientation. The first block of five acres was planted in 2001 and is entirely Dijon clone 777, a high-quality clone of the Pinot Noir grape that is known to produce fine wines with strong flavor and character. Our Harvest 2006 was superb!

The second five-acre block was planted in early Spring 2006 and contains the Dijon clone 115 and Pommard, an Old World clone. ArborBrook is dry farmed, promoting deeper root growth and complexity in the flavors of our wine. Deep-growing plants interact with the microbes in the soil, absorbing nutrients and minerals that contribute to this increased complexity.

The unique terroir of ArborBrook created through the combination of location, climate, soil structure, and many other important factors, truly makes this a special place with special wines.

In addition to growing all of our Estate Pinot Noir grapes, we have secured outstanding fruit from the ANA Vineyard (formerly the Webber Vineyard) to make our premium Dundee Hills Pinot Gris.

Lastly, our late-harvest Semillion comes from the Klipsun Vineyards in the Red Mountain viticultural area of eastern Washington. Klipsun has been recognized by Wine & Spirits Magazine as one of the "25 Great Vineyards in the World."
